UN Special Envoy Concludes Visit to Aden

7 January 2021 - The UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, concluded today a visit to Aden that included meetings with the Yemeni Prime Minister, Maeen Abdulmalik, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Bin Mubarak, members of the Cabinet, and the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Abdulmalik, Mr. Griffiths once again stressed his strong condemnation of the heinous attack on the Cabinet ministers upon their arrival to Aden Airport which killed at least 25 civilians including government officials and three humanitarian workers from the International Committee of the Red Cross. He also offered his condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Yemen.

Injury crisis hit Al-Merreikh ahead of Enyimba clash

Sudanese side, Al-Merreikh, will be without five key players when they face Enyimba in the CAF Champions League first round first leg tie on December 23 at the Al-Merreikh Stadium, Omdurman.
The players are defenders Amir Kamal, Hamza Dawood; midfielders Mohamed Hashim, Ahmed Hamid and Emadeldin Salah.
Hamid is recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament; Kamal suffered a muscle injury, Hashim is rehabilitating from a tibia fracture, while Dawood had a successful surgery in Dubai on Tuesday and will not be fit for both legs.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese giants were boosted with the return of centre-back Salah Nimir after completing his rehabilitation period and will be hoping to play a part in the fixture.
