Sudanese side, Al-Merreikh, will be without five key players when they face Enyimba in the CAF Champions League first round first leg tie on December 23 at the Al-Merreikh Stadium, Omdurman.
The players are defenders Amir Kamal, Hamza Dawood; midfielders Mohamed Hashim, Ahmed Hamid and Emadeldin Salah.
Hamid is recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament; Kamal suffered a muscle injury, Hashim is rehabilitating from a tibia fracture, while Dawood had a successful surgery in Dubai on Tuesday and will not be fit for both legs.
Meanwhile, the Sudanese giants were boosted with the return of centre-back Salah Nimir after completing his rehabilitation period and will be hoping to play a part in the fixture.
