12 of 577 test positive for COVID-19

There were 12 new cases of COVID-19 identified out of 577 tests performed April 27.
One case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine. One case was identified through contact tracing, the Joint Information Center reported.
Thus far, there have been a total of 7,951 officially reported cases of COVID-19. Guam has seen 136 deaths and there are 76 cases in active isolation.
The CAR Score is 0.8.
Guam DOE employee tests positive
The Guam Department of Education one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19, an employee at Agueda Johnston Middle School.
The school system, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health and Social Services, notified those in close contact with this individual. This employee will remain in isolation until cleared by Public Health, the Joint Information Center reported.
