CALOOCAN CITY, Jan. 8 (PIA) In light of the new COVID-19 variant, starting today until Jan. 15, travelers from Portugal, India, Finland, Norway, Jordan, and Brazil, or those with travel history to these countries 14 days prior to their arrival, will be subject to travel restrictions and/or quarantine and testing protocols upon arrival in the Philippines.
“Ang mga banyagang pasahero na manggagaling sa anim na bansang ito, or nagpunta sa mga nasabing bansa ng labing-apat na araw bago dumating sa Pilipinas, ay pinagbabawalang makapasok sa Pilipinas,” said Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque Jr in a press briefing in Malacañang.
The Palace official said that Filipinos are exempt from the travel restriction as they will be allowed entry to the country even if they came from or have been to the said countries within 14 days before their arrival. SunStar December 20, 2020 THROUGHOUT the last nine months, the national government through the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), has issued several guidelines surrounding the mandatory use of face shields.
Last week, the IATF has updated its Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines after the approval of Resolution No. 88. This new policy comes at a time when people are going out to attend Christmas masses and peak of the holiday rush. According to Section 8 No. 5 of the amended Omnibus Guidelines, All persons are mandated to wear full-coverage face shields together with face masks, earloop masks, indigenous, reusable, or do-it-yourself masks, or other facial protective equipment which can effectively lessen the transmission of Covid-19, whenever they go out of their residences.
