Championship were all checked by officials before the game and found to be legal, but after that check, something happened to the balls owned by the new england patriots. In a Statement Today the nfl confirmed that during the game those balls were found to be underinflated, which can make them easier to grip. The patriots crushed the Indianapolis Colts and are headed to the super bowl. Anna werner is following this. Reporter the nfl may not know how those balls got on the field, but they were tossed out at halftime. All secondhalf game balls were checked at the end of the game and remained in compliance.
