Channel24: Everyone knows a big part of my job naturally is to travel and to do the hands-on work in countries all over the world. The question was: What is Miss Universe s job then if she can t go to all these places? And the answer was very simple. Miss Universe s job stays the same.
Currently, Leila Lopes of Angola holds the record for the longest Miss Universe reign, holding the title for 464 days - from 12 September 2011 until 18 December 2012.
It is still unclear whether the Miss Universe dates that follow will be shifted to accommodate the 2020 winner s shorter reign.
