Ahead of Eid, a Sikh NGO has come forward to help thousands of Afghan refugees who have been affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Several of them are Muslims and are fasting in the month of Ramadan.
A social service organization, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, has, in collaboration with the Afghan Embassy, decided to help nearly 4,000 families in dire need of rations and medical supplies.
Farid Mamundzay, the Afghanistan Ambassador to India, said This aid will help relations between countries reach new heights. The relationship between the two countries is not only at the governmental level but is also nurtured by people-to-people contact.
