Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has strongly condemned the attack and urged Centre to extend immediate assistance to ensure safety of minorities in the Afghan capital
Uniindia: Kabul/New Delhi, June 18 (UNI) Terrorists belonging to the ISIS Khorasan faction on Saturday morning launched an attack on the revered Gurdwara Karte Parwan in Kabul, with multiple explosions heard and sounds of gunfire, and reports that at least one person was killed. Sikh leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa later reported that all the terrorists were neutralised by Afghan soldiers and the Gurdwara is now under Afghan police control.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, several other political leaders and Sikh bodies on Saturday strongly condemned the attack on a Gurdwara in Kabul and urged the Centre to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of minorities in Afghanistan.
