There was drama at the Ampenkro/Asratoa primary School in the Bono Region recently when the Jaman South constituency First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Henry Yaw Afful (Henforo), stormed the school premises and locked up the entire block, thereby denying students and teachers access to the classrooms.
The Chronicle gathered that the six unit classroom project, which falls under the One Million Dollar per Constituency policy, was awarded to Henforo’s construction firm, but the government has not yet paid him the money spent in executing the contract, even though the pupils and teachers have started using the classrooms. He, therefore, took the decision to sack the pupils from the classrooms and lock up the building.

The executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Jaman South constituency are calling on President Akufo-Addo to sack the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Jaman South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Abu for causing the loss of the parliamentary seat to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the first time in 20years.
Addressing the press in Drobo, the Youth Organiser of the party, Mr Samuel Obeng-takyi alleged that the MCE financed and sponsored skirt and blouse voting at the NPP parliamentary candidate spearheaded.
Group wants Jaman South MCE sacked
A group of NPP executives in the Jaman South constituency are calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to as a matter of urgency fire the Municipal Chief Executive of the Jaman South Municipal Assembly, Alhaji Abu, for his actions and inactions against the party in the just-ended elections leading to the loss of the NPP seat in the area.
Addressing the press yesterday in Drobo, the Youth Organiser of the party, Samuel Obeng-takyi, said the MCE financed and sponsored the skirt and blouse which his guys spearheaded.
He, however, indicated that the MCE used the official vehicle to convey people to vote against the MP, Yaw Afful.
