Schenectady Four new recruits for the Schenectady Police Department were some of the first candidates of the department to experience a hiring process which now includes conversations with a Community Advisory Panel.
“For the first time the community has insight into this process,” said Ron Gardner, the city’s Affirmative Action Officer, who heads the panel.
The Police Department announced Wednesday in a news release it hired four recruits who will head to the academy Monday for six months of basic training, followed by 12 weeks of department supervised field training.

Burlington, Ia- The City of Burlington is hosting a public reception for the 3 finalists for its City Manager position.
The reception is scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2021, from 6-7 PM at Burlington Memorial Auditorium 200 N. Front Street Banquet Room A. All participants will be asked to wear masks and observe social distancing protocols to protect against transmission of COVID-19.

Sam Anselm is the former City Administrator of Wildwood, Missouri, and former City Manager of Joplin, Missouri. He has served in local government positions in Missouri for the past 22 years. He holds a Master of Public Policy Administration degree from the University of Missouri- St. Louis.
that s right. that was one of the key documents the university of pennsylvania where she is hired, the university of texas, they and i was able to review a form, never been reported in the personnel file, where the penn dean and affirmative action officer had to fill out this ten-page form that says we looked at 400 candidates for this job, 66 of them were minorities, we ended up hiring elizabeth warren because we couldn t find a better or equal minority candidate for the job, but gosh, we did look hard. you don t have to fill out that form if you are native american. that was one of the options that they looked at. to say, look, we saw, we considered zero native american candidates for the job. so when penn hired her, they absolutely thought that she was a white woman. so let s quickly run through
