West Plains, MO. - The West Plains City Council approved the hire of Shayne Eades as the new Utility Director during Monday's (12/19) council meeting. Eades has worked for the City of West Plains for the past 18 years, most recently serving as the Public Works Operations Supervisor. Eades holds linemen, fiber optic, water treatment, water distribution, and wastewater certifications from the State of Missouri. "It's always been my goal to continue and advance my career within the City of West Plains," said Eades. "I am looking forward to beginning this next chapter." Eades began his career with the City of West Plains in 2004 as a medium equipment operator in the street department. He has also served as a medium equipment operator in the water department, water serviceman, lineman, and lead lineman.
