NEW DELHI: India on Thursday said two cargo vessels with a total of 39 Indians on board have been on anchorage in Chinese waters as they were not allowed to unload their cargo though some other ships have managed to do so. There is a considerable amount of stress on the crew members on account of this unprecedented situation, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said.

The Indian government on Wednesday said that the India-Russia annual summit was cancelled because of the COVID-19 crisis and that any imputation otherwise is false and misleading.
The foreign ministry s statement came after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted that damaging traditional relationships was dangerous for India s future. The India-Russia Annual summit did not take place in 2020 because of the COVID pandemic. This was a mutually agreed decision between the two Governments. Any imputation otherwise is false and misleading, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said in response to the report.

New Delhi, Dec 24: India on Thursday said it was looking forward to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson s visit here next month, amid reports that the trip may not be possible because of the rapidly-spreading mutated version of the coronavirus in the UK. We had invited the prime minister of the UK as the Chief Guest in the Republic Day parade in 2021. When UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab was here, he had publicly confirmed his acceptance. So we look forward to welcoming the prime minister here, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said.
