HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - After halting the event for nearly a year, the Hilton Hawaiian Village put on its Waikiki Starlight Luau for a room full of guests on Friday.
The Waikiki Starlight Luau is usually held on the beachfront “Great Lawn” at the resort, but due to bad weather the show was moved to one of the ballrooms.
According to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Managing Director Debi Bishop, their first show was sold out with 150 guests in attendance.

HONOLULU (KHON2) – Tihati Productions has been entertaining Hawaii for over 50 years.

“People honestly come here to see Hawaii, the sun and the surf, as well as to get a little culture and history,” said Afatia Thompson, co-owner of Tihati Productions.
The company became known over the years for its entertaining lu’au, but the owners say the shows are much more than that.
“We do it in a way that is entertaining, culturally appropriate and authentic,” Thompson explained what makes his lu’au so special.
