Rookie group aespa is gearing up for their first comeback this May!
On May 4, an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports stated that SM Entertainment s new girl group, aespa, is currently preparing for their comeback, which is planned to take place this month. The media outlet added that the quartet is already in the final stages of preparation and is planning on releasing a variety of content that fans can enjoy, including a comeback showcase.
Following the report, aespa s management agency, SM Entertainment confirmed the news to Mk Sports. The exact comeback date, however, has not been decided yet and will be announced soon.

Even her fellow Aespa member Karina is said to resemble Taeyeon.

On Dec. 30, a video of aespa celebrating Christmas together was uploaded on the rookie group s YouTube channel. In the video, the members answered several questions, mostly related to Christmas. At one point, aespa was asked to share one secret with the fans. When it was Karina s turn to share, she surprisingly said that she has a lot to reveal.
Aespa s Karina then decided to tell fans her No. 1 secret about her body that not many people know, apart from her bandmates. She went on to unveil that her tailbone is much longer than average. The rookie idol explained that when she sits normally, she can t feel it. However, when she sits in particular positions in which she put stress on the lower back, her tailbone will touch the floor and feel extremely painful.

SM Entertainment has finally addressed the controversy over the similarities between aespa s Black Mamba music video and other works.
As soon as SM Entertainment s new girl group aespa debuted with the single titled Black Mamba on Nov. 17, the female act already dealt with a plagiarism controversy after it was said that some scenes in the music video of the debut song are significantly comparable to the art of the German visual artist named Timo Helgert, In particular, the grass and flowers on a subway train and a huge snake slithering across the train are the scenes that are mentioned to be the copied from Helgert.
