Case filed against Nur for ‘derogatory remarks’ on govt, state institutions

A case has been filed against Nurul Haque Nur, former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students Union (Ducsu), with a Brahmanbaria court for making derogatory remarks on the government and several government institutions during a Facebook live session.
Brahmanbaria District Chhatra League President Rabiul Hossain Rubel filed the case with the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Ayesha Begum this morning.
The magistrate will hear the case later, reports our correspondent quoting the plaintiff s lawyer Advocate Ekram Hossain.
According to the case statement, Nur appeared on Facebook live on December 16 where he tried to instigate people, making derogatory comments about the government and several government institutions.

Former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students Union (Ducsu) Nurul Haque Nur has been sued for making derogatory remarks on the government and several government institutions .
Brahmanbaria District Chhatra League President Rabiul Hossain Rubel filed the case with the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Ayesha Begum yesterday morning.
According to the case statement, Nur, in a Facebook live, called the Election Commission Behuda [useless] Commission .
Nur also said that nowadays the interest of Awami League leaders and activists are contradictory to Bangabandhu s one , the case statement added. Nur made the statements on December 16.
