Plan of Rs. 167.25 crore approved for Samagra Shiksha in Ladakh

LEH, May 11: Advisor Ladakh, Umang Narula today chaired the governing body meeting of ‘Yountan Society’ Single Implementing Society (SIS) for Samagra Shiksha at the UT Secretariat here.
On Samagra Shiksha achievements, the meeting was informed about various initiatives taken by the department including mega community campaign on enrolment drive in the catchment area of 27 Higher Secondary School and 57 High School and 9 zones of UT Ladakh, 99 per cent of teaching faculties of UT Ladakh completed NISHTHA program on DIKSHA in which around 4,500 teachers completed all the 18 modules, conducted 2049 online classes for students and inaugurated three girls hostels-two in Leh and one in Kargil.

LEH, Apr 17: “Every effort is being made to open the Srinagar-Zojilla-Leh Highway by the BEACON around the 19th or 20th of April braving inclement weather”, informed Col Mukesh, Project Commander BEACON in a meeting chaired by the Advisor Ladakh, Umang Narula today.
It was informed that even though there is a prediction of snowfall around the 20th- 22nd April the BEACON and the VIJAYAK project of BRO will make all efforts to make the highway vehicle worthy for transporting essential commodities into Ladakh specially looking at the requirements of the people in the Holy month of Ramzan.
