The american fire in Placer County and the sweets fire in butte county up north are nearly full containment right now. Hundreds of firefighters are still working on the rim fire near yosemite that forced 200 seniors to evacuate camps run by cities of San Francisco and san jose. The fire is 15 square miles big and threatening 2500 buildings and people are getting out. Its terrifying how unpredictable it is and how fast its moving. I dont know what to think anymore really. They went there to demand a meeting with mayor lee over the accreditation problem with the city college of San Francisco. Reporter a couple of dozen people were arrested protestors camped out at San Francisco city hall even though they got arrested they say they will continue to fight. They were demanding to meet with the mayor to urge him to fight against the loss of accreditation against the city college of San Francisco and to outst the newly imposed leadership of the new college who protestors say isnt doing enough to save the school. Students are prepared to build a Stronger Movement on campus. This is part of that. This movement isnt over. Its going to continue long into the semester and perhaps into next year if necessary.
