good evening. i m dan ashley. a growing scandal in the san francisco police department means dozens of accused criminals may never face trial. more than 40 cases were dropped today. vick with the latest on vic lee with the latest on the story. the judge approved a mass dismissal of 42 cases, most doving drug arrests. 15 cases had already been dropped before the afternoon court hearing. public defender expects even nor be dismiss. we are also looking at other cases involving pass keys that were used and master keys that were used by police. look at cases where there was illegal entry. the dismissals followed a morning news briefing by the district attorney who said his offense has reviewed pending cases which involved the eight officers now under investigation for possible police misconduct. we do not have the evidence to prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt given the circumstances and what is going on with the officers at this point we are dismissing the case. t
