Lincoln will run a full revaluation of properties

12/16/2020 Town seeking tax assessor LINCOLN – The town is preparing to start a full revaluation of all properties next year as it also seeks a new tax assessor. Officials have posted the job and begun to accept applications for the position after longtime assessor Elaine Mondillo announced her retirement this fall. Town Administrator Joe Almond told The Breeze that the town is heading into a full tax revaluation in 2021, with field work expected to begin next summer and wrap by the end of the year. In a full revelation, agents make individual visits to each property in town to assess values. Almond said he’s hoping COVID-19 is better under control by the time assessments begin next summer, allowing assessors to make site visits.
