Well, the morning commute is not impacted by thissing of its dry but were looking at some afternoon snow arriving that will impact the evening commute. Theres a Winter Weather advisory that kicks in at 10 oclock in areas south, 11 oclock in philadelphia and it goes until 10 oclock tonight. Its during this period where we expect most of our light snow to start to come in. Might also start out as a little bit of rain and sleet in points south of philadelphia before changing over later in the day and we are generally looking at about a 1 to 3inch accumulation out of this. Satellite shows you theres actually a couple breaks in the clouds this morning so the morning might start out a little on the bright side for some of you but thicker clouds to the west will build in during the morning and eventually we see precipitation arrive. It doesnt kick in until late this morning and across most of these counties highlighted in purple i think you have to wait until the afternoon hours before you see appreciable snow moving n allentown and points north and east are not affected by this. Youre only looking at a coating to an inch up there. The rest of us could see 1 to 3 inches with higher amounts probably down in south jersey and delaware so that is the story for this afternoon and tonight. In his state of the Union Address, president obama came out and declared the nations economy as on the rise but he also offered up his prescription for lifting up the middle class raising taxes and fees on the wealthy and big banks in exchange for new tax breaks for middleincome earners. Now, as part of the president s middle class economics theme, the president also talked about his plan for Free Community college, but he also covered other subjects. He asked lawmakers to give him a vote to authorize force on isis. He called on congress to lift the embargo on cuba slammed the Keystone Pipeline vowed to Iran Legislation and vowed to turn politics away from 9 11 and the financial crisis and toward the future.
