Arseniy yatsenyuk in kyiv, welcome to hardtalk. Thanks for having me, stephen. Heres a very simple first question. Do you feel that ukraine right now is going through its bleakest moments in this war since your country survived that initial russian onslaught in late February 2022 . We are at a critical juncture, no doubt, stephen, youre absolutely correct. So we survived two years ago due to an unbelievable resolve of the ukrainian people and due to the real unity among the Western World. As of now, the mood is different, but i still believe that we have the chance to prevail. But we need an enormous effort that needs to be undertaken mainly by our Western Allies. So the mood is different, but chances for ukraine to prevail and to survive are very high. All depends on the actions. Spirit and morale are very important in war. Just tell me what impact the missile strikes on ukrainian cities like kharkiv, like chernihiv where weve seen the Death Toll Rise beyond a dozen what impact do tho

The Israeli Military has stressed though a significant force would remain in gaza. Lets go straight to our chief international correspondent, lyse doucet whos injerusalmem. There is almost nothing left, that is what were hearing from palestinians who are now returning to their homes in the southern strip. To the city of khan younis, the second largest city in gaza. They home after months of israeli bombardment and Ground Operations, which have left large parts of khan younis in ruin. Palestinians say they went to streets they didnt recognise any more. Not finding their house or their neighbours house, saying that simply they wouldnt be able to live there any more. But there is relief that the israeli troops have now left the area. The announcement was made yesterday by the Israeli Military, saying that it was pulling out all of its ground forces, except one brigade, which would remain in that part of the strip to enforce a corridor which divides Northern Gaza from the south. But israe

What everyone should remember is if you cast your mind back to the 1970s and the labour government, they were trying to do deals with all kinds of people, including the Northern Irish mps. It requires a huge amount of discipline and a lot of hard work. The other thing it requires is something that i think is pretty lacking in the Prime Minister and thatis lacking in the Prime Minister and that is the sort of chumminess but shes quite an iceberg and that doesnt augur well for the sort of relationships you need to build. It will be quite difficult to hold in place. Very interesting. Thanks for being with us. Nick timothy and Fiona Hill Have resigned in the last half hour. They have now gone and we will wait to see what happens next. More from here throughout the day. Lets just pause and catch up with the weather forever you are in the United Kingdom this afternoon.
