A man has been arrested after a brawl that left a second man dead at an apartment complex on Castlereagh St in Haymarket.
Police are preparing to charge the 20-year-old man over the death, which occurred in the hallway outside his room at the Oaks Sydney Castlereagh Suites.
Police say a man is expected to be charge with murder following a deadly brawl in Haymarket.

The victim, a 43-year-old man from northern Sydney, was unresponsive when police arrived at the scene. Neighbours and emergency services attempted to revive the man, performing CPR for about 40 minutes, but they were unsuccessful and he died at the scene.

A man who police will say tried to kill a woman at a luxury hotel in Sydney’s CBD has led officers to a backpack in bushland, allegedly containing a gun, where he was found after a two-day search.
Officers have also found notes allegedly handwritten by 41-year-old Matthew Donaldson, who was arrested with the assistance of the dog squad near Lapstone in the Blue Mountains on Thursday afternoon.
He was charged with five offences on Friday afternoon, including causing wounding/grievous bodily harm with intent to murder, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possess a loaded firearm in a public place, and two counts of possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit.
