A new portrait of Mother Teresa from her former advisor, Pope Francis’s response to the pandemic, and a book on finding one’s purpose from pastor Dharius Daniels are among the new titles publishing in September.
Forthcoming titles explore the benefits of forgiveness, chronicle the lives of religious luminaries, opine on the political consequences of Christian conservatism, and dig into the theology of J.R.R. Tolkien.

It’s no secret that the yoga community has seen more than its share of guru downfalls in recent history. Several of the so-called founding fathers of yoga, some of whom brought the teachings from India to the West, have been accused contemporarily and posthumously of sexual misconduct. There have been a handful of civil suits and criminal charges. In 2017, Rachel Brathen (aka @Yoga Girl) had collected 300 #MeToo stories from within the yoga community. The fall of gurus is particularly jarring for many within the yoga space, who considered studios, ashrams, and mindfulness teachers as a safe haven for vulnerability and spirituality.
