REGIONAL Cottonwood County recorded three new cases of COVID-19 during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Monday, while Jackson and Rock counties each reported one new case and Murray, Nobles and Pipestone counties added no new cases. The additional new cases were among 998 added statewide during the single-day reporting period, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 581,335 (positive and antigen tests), with 560,733 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,623 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.

REGIONAL Rock County has added five new cases of COVID-19, according to Sunday morning s update from the Minnesota Department of Health, while Nobles County reported three new cases.
Cottonwood, Murray and Pipestone counties each added one new case of the novel coronavirus, and Jackson County had no new cases. The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 579,235 (positive and antigen tests) following the addition of 1,713 new cases.; 555,214 are beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,501 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus.

REGIONAL The number of vaccinations for COVID-19 being administered appears to have leveled off in the six counties of far southwest Minnesota, but new cases continue to crop up in each county.
Friday morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health noted five new cases of the virus in Pipestone County, four in Murray County and two new cases each in Cottonwood, Jackson, Nobles and Rock counties. These were among 1,877 new cases reported statewide during the 24-hour reporting period that ended at 4 p.m. Thursday.
