The National Crime Agency has begun an investigation following the recovery of a significant quantity of what is thought to be cocaine from the coast of Dorset and Hampshire.
The Indian government has established a panel to select a new chairman for Indian Oil Corp, following the retirement of S M Vaidya in August. The committee, which includes Public Enterprise Selection Board chairperson Mallika Srinivasan and former HPCL chairman M K Surana, will consider even retired executives for the role. The move is seen as an attempt to keep Vaidya in play, as the government previously gave him a one-year re-employment contract after he retired. Indian Oil is a key player in the country s fuel market and its chairman is a significant position in an election year.
The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has ruled to close the Rotterdam+ formula case due to the expiration of the term of the pre-trial investigation, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) will appeal the decision.
