Last week, a Hausa community leader died of shot wounds sustained during an attack at his home in South Kordofan in March. His relatives reported the case to the police of the town, but no investigations have been done.
Omda of the Hausa community in El Fayed Um Abdallah and surroundings, died in Khartoum on Friday, “due to complications caused by injuries from the shooting incident”.
The Hausa tribal leader was attacked by a group of armed men in his house in El Fayed Um Abdallah in Rashad locality (formerly Abu Kershola locality).

Hundreds of people participated in a demonstration in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, on Monday to protest against the deteriorating security situation in the state after the recent increase in violent crimes, including incidents of robbery, killing, and looting.
Incidents of violence were widespread in December. On December 17, a merchant was shot dead in Kadugli for unknown reasons. On that same day, another trader was wounded when masked gunmen plundered his house, Omda Ismail told Radio Dabanga from Kadugli.
On December 26, citizens blocked the main roads in Kadugli to protest the death of an inhabitant who was shot by a number of unknown people in a poor neighbourhood of the city.

Sudan witnessed various crimes in the past week. On Friday, a community leader was abducted In East Jebel Marra, South Darfur, while a minibus driver was killed in an armed robbery on Monday in El Abbasiya town, South Kordofan, amid a surge of crime in the area.
A minibus driving from Kosti in White Nile state to El Abbasiya town in South Kordofan was attacked by a group of four men wearing uniforms of the Popular Defence Forces in the area 30 kilometres north-east of El Abbasiya. They rode on motorbikes.
