Ernesto Francisco, a resident of Abrille Street, BF Resort Village, Talon 2, Las Pinas, surrendered to the police on Feb. 11.
Las Piñas Police chief Col. Rodel Pastor said Francisco surrendered after he was tracked by the police while he was hiding with his relatives in Tagaytay City.
Pastor said Francisco went into hiding after shooting to death Ricky Dimatulac, 50, and seriously wounding Dominic Duclayan, 38 – both neighbors of the suspect.
Dimatulac was pronounced dead on arrival at the University of Perpetual Help Hospital while Duclayan is still under observation.
After the shooting, Francisco immediately fled on board his Ford Everest vehicle. Francisco told the police that before the incident, he confronted Duclayan over the loud noise created by his motorcycle.
