The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday started questioning former railway minister Lalu Prasad in connection with the land for jobs scam case..
The alleged scam occurred between 2004 and 2009 when Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister. Apart from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief, the chargesheet also includes the name of the then Railway General Manager
Lalu Prasad Yadav s son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav alleged that CBI s action was a result of his family s “relentless opposition” to the BJP.
In view of the IRCTC scam case, a court in Delhi has summoned RJD patriarch Lalu Yadav and her wife Rabri Devi to record their statements regarding the alleged scam.
The case relates to alleged appointments made in the railways in return for land parcels gifted or sold to Prasad s family when he was Railway Minister.
