what the president is expected to do today, getting the day started and he is expected to meet with chinese president xi jinping to talk about trade. rob: indications from his economic team, there is a deal in the works with china and relieve a lot of stress on american businesses and a lot of good for the economy. in the united states get the deal and the president signing a bad deal, we will see where that goes but it is interesting with the mueller investigation, canceling a meeting with vladimir putin. jillian: it was the right move to make and we heard from doctor rebecca grant saying now is not the time to sit down with vladimir putin with news that happened over the weekend,
health and health care. that s what they want to see. it s got to be both. also the politics has to be removed from it. that call next week, it s not helpful to drag in supreme court justices when you re on a call with troops overseas. they need focus and need to know that their service isn t being politicized. so you don t think they were happy they were kind of baffled about the president veering into conversations about trade. no. we see our military being politicized over and over again. it s a pla bad place for the president to go. he isn t experienced. he wasn t a governor or senator. you learn a lot of this during that course of time and service. it s a guardrail you shouldn t hit, especially around the holidays. he has done it with the conn family, john mccain, the mcraven family. his numbers in the military are dropping. these things are starting to pile up. let s be honest, he also
so on the security side, we have a firm set of principles and cooperation. always on the economic side, yes, sometimes national interests creep out in front and we need to guard against that. it s only by being united and determined that russia will be deterred. neil: we re still facing trade frictions, some of the trade impasses with some countries in the united states, not so much with china and the united states. obviously, you know, your country a lot of european partners are worried it will turn into a global trade war. the president descends on air force one. the president says we will solve this and we will be better for it. do you believe that? i had a pleasure of talking to the president about trade. he clearly knows a lot about it. he has a lot of the figures in his head. he doesn t like cheats in the international system. i think we agree with him on
