be delays tonight? reporter: there certainly will be heather. i just talked to our contact here at the bay bridge about four minutes ago. crews are actually delayed. might not start for another hour or so because of all of the rain we had earlier today. we would like to switch our truck to a second camera we have to give you a sort of bird eye view of the eastbound traffic. if you see us blowing around the camera is blowing around there. however, we can tell you they will be shutting down some lanes overnight tonight to shift this traffic on to the new detour. and that s, of course, to make room for the crews that are working on a new part of the bay bridge. shifting traffic on the bay bridge is no easy task, not even late on a saturday night. these are the first two lanes we will close in the middle of the night. we will remove the barrier on this end and that night end and put traffic on these two lanes. reporter: construction crews have finished a quarter mile pat

the shadows is anyone s guess. there s no guarantee i can work together. because laws might change. there s always a threat that you might get found. reporter: adrian is not his real name. and you will not see his face because like 12 million others in the u.s. he is here illegally. adrian says he walked across a mexican border with his mother when he was five, that was 21 years ago. he now owns a small business in san jose and says he does not hire undocumented workers. i am afraid, because that s something that jeopardizes, the cleanliness of owner a business, i want to keep it as cleanly as possible. reporter: today the u.s. supreme court in a 5-3 decision upheld an arizona law that revokes the business licenses of companies employed undocumented immigrants. how they re going to sustain their state by punishing, penalizing these companies. reporter: the arizona law also requires employers to use a federal electronic system to validate workers. using a data base,
mother when allegations of severe child abuse surfaced. 31-year-old jane morin was brought in less than an hour ago. they found her and her daughter at a parking lot at a supermarket in san jose. the girl had been taken to a local hospital and under the care of child protective services. police say they went to this house on pollard road and campbell yesterday after the caller said the child was in jeopardy. the girl and the mother and the ex-boyfriend rodriguez had disappeared. the police put out a plea for the public s help to locate the girl. they received information the child and mother may be in south san jose. it s an area where we had some information that she may have had some friends in that area. and so they developed some leads that she was possibly going to this particular parking lot. and they set up in the parking lot and located them. reporter: the police are still looking for the ex- boyfriend rodriguez. the child s mother will be booked into the santa cl
