KABUL - His Excellency Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, commended the Ministry of Foreign Affairs accomplishments by conferring the Amir Amanullah Khan Medal to Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar, and the Ghazi Mir Masjidi Khan Medal to Deputy Foreign Minister Mirwais Nab. President Ghani acknowledged the achievements and accomplishments of the Foreign Ministry, particularly the successful convening of the 9 th Ministerial Conference of Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process and the 2020 Geneva Conference on Afghanistan. During the medal awarding ceremony held at the Presidential Palace, His Excellency stated that Geneva and Heart of Asia Conferences, successfully managed by Foreign Ministery, played a significant role in strengthening Afghanistan s relations with regional and international partners and promoting a just and lasting peace that preserved the gains of the last two decades in Afghanistan.
