KATHMANDU, July 15: The Bhanu Prize has been given away to litterateur Prof Ghanshyam Kandel this year. The prize of worth Rs 125,000 established by Nepali Education Council was handed over to Prof Kandel on Friday on the occasion of 210th Bhanu Jayanti.
On Bhanu Jayanti, authors, poets, and fans of Nepali literature come together to remember the magnificent works of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya. It is observed on July 13 every year.
