DC reviews progress of works under MGNREGA, SBM

JAMMU, Apr 1: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of Rural Development Department to review the progress of works under MGNREGA besides other activities being executed under Swachh Bharat Mission at DC Office Complex.
ACD Amit Vermani, DPO Sunaina Saini, BDOs besides other senior officers of the concerned department were present in the meeting.
At the outset, ACD appraised the Chair regarding progress of various works under MGNREGA through a power point presentation. He informed that there are total 77414 job cards have been issued and 109779 workers have been registered out of which 54552 job cards are active and 65346 workers are active. He further appraised that Aadhaar Seeding is at 86.65% where as Geo-tagging is at 98.91%.

New Delhi, Feb 13 : Punjab has become the 13th state in the country to successfully undertake One Nation One Ration Card system reform stipulated by the Finance Ministry.
The state has now become eligible to mobilise additional financial resources of Rs 1,516 crore through Open Market Borrowings. Permission for the same was issued by the Department of Expenditure.
Punjab has now joined 12 other states namely, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh, who have completed this reform.
