baseball s intention to do most of them or nearly all of them at once. but in this case, i think they had so much evidence on ryan braun and i m led to believe that they have as equal an amount of evidence and perhaps more evidence against alex rodriguez that they presented it to him and he chose to cut a deal. take the suspension now rather than drag it out. and the key here, i think, is the statement from michael winer, the major league baseball players association counsel in which he said last week that any player who is caught guilty beyond any beyond any evidence at all, that they are not going to contest it. they ll try and cut a deal. so they clearly cut a deal with ryan braun. i don t know that there s any deal to be cut with alex rodriguez, nelson cruz and a handful of other, 15 others. they ll all be suspended, i think, quite rapidly. now, obviously, the union not supporting this.
