MARSHALL Â The owner of a Lynd restaurant was found in contempt of court Friday, after she said she would not follow a court order against indoor dining at her business.
A Ramsey County District Court judge said starting today, Larvita McFarquhar could be fined $250 for each day her restaurant is in violation of the court order.
The Minnesota Department of Health is suing the Haven’s Garden restaurant, for offering dine-in service in violation of state COVID-19 restrictions. Earlier this week, a judge granted a temporary injunction ordering McFarquhar to comply with executive orders affecting bars and restaurants. However, in videos posted on the Haven’s Garden Facebook page, McFarquhar said the restaurant would stay open.

MARSHALL Â A Ramsey County District Court judge has issued an order aimed at keeping a Lynd restaurant from violating state COVID-19 restrictions.
On Wednesday, Judge Sara Grewing granted a temporary injunction against Haven’s Garden, which has been offering dine-in service in defiance of executive orders from Gov. Tim Walz. The injunction calls for Haven’s Garden to comply with Executive Order 20-99, as well as any future orders that apply to restaurants and bars, court records said.
The judge’s order does not shut down Haven’s Garden. The order said the business can still have window service, walk-up or drive-up service, or delivery.
