inch closer to a legislative victory. after hours of debate they are voting on the glacier production act. it would be the largest reduction in climate in u.s. history, i would also lower the cost of prescription drugs for millions of americans, among other things. earlier today millions of americans join us on msnbc to discuss the significance. vote after vote after vote, we have done this. 11 hours straight. why? because we know this bill is finally going to do something about climate change. lifted the ban on negotiating less expensive drugs under medicare. and then, as the name of the bill, says bring inflation home by 300 and $75 million in deficit reduction. i think the american public is watching with this overdue, see that they re making progress on issues they care about. legislation needs all 50 democrats to vote in order to pass it. the senate republicans are making their opposition known anyways. so, the american rescue plan, remember that one? that was su

work through the weekend to pass a major tax climate, and health care plan. after almost a year of negotiations. the first votes expected to begin tomorrow afternoon. today, the senate s top democrat laid out key parts of the bill. this is a very, very, very big deal. including producing prescription drug costs, fighting climate, change closing tax loopholes for corporations in the wealthy, and reducing deficit. i believe we will have 50 votes to pass this legislation at the end of the day. as senator schumer said, this bill includes significant ways to have corporate america be more accountable. finally imposing a corporate minimum tax and another, attacks on companies doing stop by buybacks. this is a common practice when they have extra cash and they choose not to spend it on employees, or research and development. instead, they buy back stock to boost its price and hookup their shareholders. now they choose to do that, should this bill pass, they will be hit with a li
