The Papar District Council has called on homeowners in Taman Bukit Manggis to tend to the greenery which they have planted outside their fences, while the agency’s Penampang counterpart will step up efforts to maintain the drain reserves in Taman OKK Lojungah
More than 20 streetlights on the divider of Jalan Bundusan were restored last night, almost nine months after the control panel for these amenities was first wrecked
PAPAR District Council and City Hall (DBKK) technicians were urged to step up their surveillance of Jalan Papar Spur and Taman Luyang after problems with the photocells for the streetlights left these areas poorly lit for some time, recently.
The Penampang District Council, meanwhile, hopes to restore the illumination along a section of Jalan Bundusan by next month, once a new control panel for the streetlights here has been installed.
This action follows feedback from a Papar motorist and homeowners – in Luyang and Penampang – about irregularities involving the public lighting at these locations.
The former couldn’t understand why the streetlights on Jalan Papar Spur were switched on during the day but not at night.
The Luyang ratepayer said most of the common areas around her neighbourhood were shrouded in darkness as the lights only functioned intermittently
TWO rate-payers, in Penampang and Kepayan, have been asked to relocate some of their dogs, following complaints about the nuisance created by their pets
