UNM Facilities Management’s Winter Setback program to begin Dec. 23 December 17, 2020 The University of New Mexico’s Facilities Management Department (FM) will implement its annual Winter Setback Program across campus, conserving both financial and environmental resources. The program, which will run from Wednesday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Jan. 1, calls for lowering temperatures in many campus buildings while they are unoccupied during the semester break. FM and Lobo Energy, Inc. have identified the areas of most energy savings and will work with the occupants whose workspace must remain at normal levels due to sensitive research or lab environments. Additionally, facilities needed to address the ongoing pandemic have been identified and will not be impacted by the setback program.
