Tuesday, April 27, 2021 Neal Hagler Neal Scott Hagler, the Berryville man who pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in connection with a fatal 2018 accident, was taken into custody Monday — more than 10 months after a judge ordered his arrest for allegedly violating his probation. Hagler, 22, was booked into the Carroll County Detention Center at 9:30 a.m. Monday, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, which listed the arresting agency as the Arkansas Department of Probation and Parole. No further details regarding the arrest were available. Hagler’s bond is set at $75,000 and he is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Monday, June 7, in Carroll County Circuit Court in Berryville.

Tuesday, April 20, 2021 Jacob Grunwald A Eureka Springs man is facing two felonies and a host of other charges after leading police on a high-speed chase through western Carroll County. Jacob Grunwald, 44, is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and felony fleeing, along with three Class A misdemeanors — reckless driving, resisting arrest and driving while intoxicated-drugs — as well as speeding, driving left of center, driving on a suspended license, expired tags, and no insurance after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop at speeds exceeding 80 mph, running several other vehicles off the road and intentionally colliding several times with the pursuing officer’s vehicle.
