California inmates embrace vaccines, offering hope for beating hesitancy, Stanford study finds

Half of incarcerated people in California prisons who initially rejected a COVID-19 vaccination later agreed to take at least one dose, a finding that could have implications for vaccine hesitancy in the broader population, Stanford researchers say.
“That is an important indication that vaccine hesitancy is not fixed,” said Elizabeth Chin, lead author of a report published this week in the New England Journal of Medicine.
