Wareham, Marion businesses receive COVID small business grants

BOSTON – Sen. Marc R. Pacheco, D-Taunton, has announced 17 additional businesses in the 1st Plymouth & Bristol district have been selected to receive a total of $745,000 through the COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program, including a business in Wareham and two in Marion.
They are LR Hunt LLC, $10,000, in Wareham; and Kate’s Simple Eats LLC, $40,000; A.B.R. Vending Inc., $10,000; in Marion.
These awards to businesses come in addition to just over $3 million given to 55 local businesses in the 1st Plymouth & Bristol District over the past several weeks of COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program awards administered by the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC).

MARION State Senator Marc Pacheco announced on Jan. 28 that two more Marion businesses Kate’s Simple Eats and A.B.R Vending, Inc. will receive covid aid through the Small Business Grant Program.
Kate’s Simple eats will receive $40,000 and A.B.R Vending will receive $10,000 in aid.
The grants come as part of a $750,000 round of relief from the state, and follows three other rounds of relief totaling over $3 million.
“Since the COVID-19 Small Business Grant Program began in December 72 local businesses in the district I represent have been selected to receive a total of over $3.7 Million, these funds will go a long way in helping them to remain viable,” Pacheco said in a press release. “I am very pleased that they have been selected to receive these funds.”
