Hello. Pakistans former Prime Minister, imran khan, has been arrested after a Court Sentenced him to three years in prison on Corruption Charges. He was found guilty of failing to declare money hed earned from selling gifts he received while in office. Mr khans previous arrest in may triggered violent protests and the army was deployed. Our pakistan correspondent, Caroline Davies has the latest. Sirens blaring, police truck after police truck, truck after police truck, arresting former Prime Minister imran khan. Thejudgment came from here, police filled every corner in islamabads session court. Mr khan says the case is politically motivated. The court said he is dishonest. This is after months of waiting. We now finally have an announcement, imran khan has been found guilty and has been sentenced to three years in prison. What was hoped by the establishment which removed me, what they hoped was that the party would just fizzle away. And normally, it happens when youre out of power, youre out of power for quite a while. But instead, what happened . The most unusual thing in this country that the partys popularity kept growing and that in the by elections that took place, out of 37 by elections, my party swept 30 of them and this is despite the establishment backing the government parties. So, since then, this its the attempts are being made to knock me out of the game. I had two Assassination Attempts on me.
