Chicago White Sox GM Rick Hahn has said it himself with this team “it is World Series or bust.” After years of languishing in Chicago baseball obscurity the Chicago White Sox are back in a big way. They surprised a lot of people during the 60 game schedule last season by making the playoffs, now they are looking to take the next step.
Leading the way for the Sox now is a familiar face as former manager Tony La Russa has come out of retirement to manage this team. How La Russa relates and handles some of the young talent on this roster will be something to keep an eye on.

Illinois has met one key metric for a wider reopening… but other numbers are going the wrong direction.
The state says more than 70-percent of Illinoisans 65 and older have been vaccinated against COVID-19… meeting one major threshold to allow greater capacity in businesses and at events.
But the state says overall COVID cases… and hospital admissions because of the virus… are rising again, and that’s keeping the state from moving to the “bridge phase” that’s one step closer to a full reopening.

Sangamon County prosecutors have filed formal charges against six street gang members accused in recent firearms incidents around the community and other crimes.
All six are charged with multiple felonies with potential penalties ranging from ten to thirty years in prison. State’s Attorney Dan Wright says all six are being held in the Sangamon County Jail on bonds of anywhere from $200,000 to $300,000.
The six are: 24-year-old Anthony Strange; 18-year-old Mysean Burden; 18-year-old Jahquel Pearsall; 27-year-old Michael Smith; 18-year-old Jerry Broomfield; and 19-year-old Michael Benning. Wright won’t say if all of the suspects are part of the same gang.

The St. Louis Cardinals made one of the biggest splashes this offseason when they acquired 3B Nolan Arenado from the Colorado Rockies. Arenado combined with 1B Paul Goldschmidt are the pillars on which the Cards offensive success this season will lie. Both Goldschmidt and Arenado are among the best all-around players at their positions in MLB and form one of the most formidable corner IF duos in all of MLB. Joining them in the infield will be All-star SS Paul Dejong and taking over for the now departed Kolton Wong at 2B will be Tommy Edman.

William Petersen and Jorja Fox are returning as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidla, a full 21-years after the first series premiered. The new series will star Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez and Mandeep Dhillon. Wallace Langham is also back as former lab tech David Hodges.
CSI: Vegas will debut on CBS during the 2021-2022 TV season.

The show is loosely inspired by the book “What Girls Are Made Of.” In the book, the main character was raised to believe that there is no such thing as unconditional love, meaning she will do anything for her boyfriend to prove her worthiness. But when he breaks up with her, she is lost and sets out to find out what the conditions of love really are.
