rachel: in an attempt to help those facing the border crisis the department of homeland security is sending another $77 million to ngos and communities hit by the migrant surge. of that 77 million, $13 million are going to el paso, texas. catholic charities will get 12. $8 million with other ngos like food banks receiving 2 to $3 million in texas and arizona. non-border cities shown in orange like new york and chicago will also get funding. the total amount handed out this fiscal year, more than $770 million. is this distribution the best way to solve the crisis? sarah carter has seen this crisis firsthand and joins us now.
