let s look at the governor s race first in arizona. the numbers on the screen. kari lake, 49.8%. katie hobbs, right now, with 50.2%. still a lot of votes to be counted. let look at the senate race. mark kelly, blake masters. still could go eat way, i suppose. for sure. the governor s race is a dead heat. and everybody is trying to discern, out of these different tranches of votes being counted, what are the likelihoods of voters, of the different tranches going in different directions. the one everybody is watching, obviously, kari lake has become a center of attention and that race because of her role as an election denier.
election night in america. results are coming in. cnn s john king at the wall, the magic wall, looking at all the key races for us tonight. john, talk to me. can we go to michigan and talk about what s happening there with peter meijer? we can go to michigan, you asked about peter meijer. those at home might not recognize, named one of the ten house republicans who voted to impeach donald trump. john gibbs is the trump endorsed, opponent as trump seeks vengeance. we ve seen this in races where trump opposes one of the people. 50.2 to 49.7. this is a district, grand rapids, and then to the west, to the border in michigan. yeah, we are gonna be counting these four that s about 63% of the vote coming in. so you ve got four in ten votes still about account, a little bit shorter than that. and a 240 vote margin right now. this, one of three test tonight.
these two incredibly competitive gubernatorial races. first, to new jersey, the garden state, in a shocker, jack ciatterelli is up with 50.2% of the vote, and phil murphy, 49% of the vote. ciatterelli, 23,420 votes ahead, with 73% of the vote in. it is too close to call. 27% of the vote is left to count. but this is a result very few people saw coming. in virginia, the commonwealth of virginia, with 95% of the vote in, republican glenn youngkin is up with 51.2% of the vote rngs terry mcauliffe has 48.1%. there is a 96,000 vote lead for glenn youngkin, still 5% of the vote is out, and we re waiting
