A Mattydale daycare provider sentenced for the death of a child in her care. Jessica Sims will spend 20 years in prison for the death of 23-month-old Lennox Santiago in July of 2020.
Syracuse Police have made a third arrest in the 2020 shooting death of Asalic Parham. Parham was found shot in the early morning hours of Dec 28th in on Evaleen Avenue. He died at the hospital. Now police have arrested Vanico Spaights in connection with the murder.
A special Syracuse Common Council meeting has been called for tomorrow. That's because an error in the city budget has been found and it requires the council to authorize an additional 5.7 million dollars to offset the shortfall.
