In its latest case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) said recoveries account for 96.1 percent of the total case count of 2,740,111 since the start of the pandemic last year. Meanwhile, some 4,806 new infections brought the total number of active cases nationwide to 65,835. About 78.7 percent of these active cases are mild, 6.2 percent are asymptomatic, 2 percent are critical, 4.6 percent are severe, and 8.53 percent are moderate. The health department also logged 260 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 41,237.
