his policies aren t popular. people aren t happy with the economy. there are flashing red lights here for republicans, and i ve been on that since election night back in november. but if you re a democrat looking at how you won this race and barely beating herschel walker and having to draw some of these republican candidates you did in this midterm, there has to be some introspection here because biden is not the answer. we re getting a lot more votes in. i want to go to john king at the magic wall. anderson, as you guys were having the conversation, senator warnock has now pulled ahead. welcome back to the seesaw. by 18,516 votes. still remarkably close. 50.3 to 49.7. so what just happened, you hear everyone talking about, we re waiting on the metro atlanta area. well, the closest piece, the most central piece of the metro atlanta area is fulton county, which is atlanta and the suburbs to the north and the south. again, runs about 90 miles total. we just got a large installment o
drama in nevada. help us understand, while you are there, how nevada went blue? well, so remember, it was blue, catherine cortez masto was the incumbent here. you see how close this race is, we still have a bunch of vote out. he was ahead of she s going to the united states senate, first of all, up here and washoe county, earlier this week, adam laxalt was winning this county, it was red, in the first day after the election or so, and then, it flipped blue as more votes came in. you see 50.3% in this county 46.9%, so a little more than a 3% point margin and what has been a bit of a battleground county in nevada politics. but it was down here in clark county, in the las vegas area,
6th. now take a look at arizona, and arizona, this is going to take a while all right? but we got that initial big batch of the early votes from all of the counties, at maricopa, pima, the two biggest, here you can see what maricopa looks like right now. they are starting now to add into maricopa county the same day vote, so the expectation is this titans, as the same day vote comes in, same in pima, but right now, to give you the sense of what the point of comparison here is. this is what won joe biden in 20, 20 barely, but getting 50.3% of the maricopa county as both won it for him. what won arizona for him was 58% out of pima. these are early numbers, but the bat about from pima and maricopa doesn t count for as much of that both as the initial batch did in 2020. so there s a little bit more murkiness about what is to come and how republican friendly it
digits, abortion access and health care. when i dig in, you ll see why the candidates are visiting the key counties. when you look at the presidential results, eight points that donald trump won in 2020. the key counties where tim ryan visiting akron, a swing county that joe biden won in 2020. 54% of the victory there, 44% to donald trump. but neil, you go down to some of these counties where donald trump is spending time for j.d. vance. and you can see why. they re trying to chip away at some of the blue voters there. president biden won montgomery county, 50.3% in 2020. you re looking at a 6,000 vote dirns in that country. you go back out to the rest of the state. white working class voters all about the economy. look at this narrow margin of
