Today the US Patent & Trademark Office granted Apple a patent that relates to computer user interfaces, and more specifically to Apple s newly designed underwater mode user interface when an iDevice is working under water. The user can switch back to the standard iOS UI when back on land. The UI seems to be geared towards Snorkelers who love taking photos and videos while underwater This could be a very popular feature indeed.

Although I first discovered it in Europe, it was actually a U.S. patent that was published on Thursday. Apple notes that their invention generally relates to lenticular displays and, in particular, to systems, methods, and devices
for displaying different content to different users via a lenticular display. The twist to this invention was the context of a television using a lenticular display.

Today the US Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple that relates to a new mode of operating an iDevice which Apple calls a blow event. I keep expecting Apple to call me at any moment now to say April Fools! Until that happens, I have to take this invention as seriously as I possibly can.
Apple presents one scenario wherein a user happens to have shopping bags in both hands when a call comes in. Instead of putting the bags down, Apple s invention will allow a user to simply blow on an Apple Watch interface enabling you to take the call. Today the US Patent & Trademark Office published a second patent application from Apple that relates to possible future smart rings. Apple illustrates different kind of ring systems including a multi-ring system and rings that work with Apple Watch. Apple believes that light weight rings will be superior input devices for their future mixed reality headset than complicated controllers that are used with devices like Oculus. The rings will also eventually work with other Apple devices such as an iMac, MacBook, AirPods, iPhone, iPad and more.
