this with such devotion and passion, because he believes in it. there s a real distinction between him and republicans when it comes to all those issues you just talked about, but these are value-driven differences. not just policy differences. you want to do this with the deficit. i want to do that. it s like the reason i want to do this is because i have a different set of values than republicans. what are those values? spell them out. using government as a communal progressive force to protect the safety net and to come together and invest in innovation, education, infrastructure. we re in it together. versus the ryan budget, which used as a stand-in first republican nominee, which says we re on it alone, get rid of government and give you aa vouch voucher, find medicare on your own. here comes romney and he sort of fits the mold. he s a 1 percenter. he shows no empathy, even before the 47%. a pure market guy. they use bain, from the beginning, as cynthia noted, as a value.
they sell things people pay premiums for. we pay more for german cars and german coffee machines. if it is made in germany we pay more. unfortunately, apple is one of the few american companies people pay more for. neil: and they use workers in china to manufacture the phones. we do not begrudge that. guest: well when steve jobs passed away everyone wanted a part of it. trying to claim he was a hippy or he had the sole of a 99 percenter but all of the business actions were that of the ultimate 1 percenter. neil: but the 99 percenters are this with the iphones. guest: always being dadded in by the friends from colombia. i have to drive a cab for a year? america is unfair. that is a different subject. neil: thank you charles. british royals asking a court to stop magazines from publishing

it shows that what romney used to think and that romney thought it was crazy to blame a slow economy on the president. the people of america recognize that the slowdown in jobs that occurred during the early years of the bush administration were the result of a perfect storm. and an effort by one candidate to some how say the recession and the slowdown of jobs was the result of somehow this president magically being elected, people in america just dismissed that as being poppycock. poppycock? poppycock? who says poppycock anymore? romney sounded like a one percenter back in 2004. maybe that s why he defended president obama. and maybe it s why he attacks president obama even though the job growth since he took over is as clear. my response?
